Your Guide to the Celestial Twins
About the Gemini Constellation
Gemini, Latin for "the twins," is one of the 12 zodiac constellations. It is best known for its two brightest stars, Pollux and Castor, which represent the heads of the mythical twins from Greek mythology. The constellation's distinctive shape makes it relatively easy to spot in the northern celestial hemisphere during the winter and spring months. Gemini is also the radiant point for the Geminids meteor shower, one of the most reliable and impressive annual meteor showers, which occurs every December.
